Meet Mendy Applegate

Business Development Specialist, Educator, Speaker

She Didn't Set Out To Become A Business Educator.

She just kept meeting really smart people who were losing sleep over their business.

Mendy's career has given her something a textbook never could: a front-row seat to how businesses actually operate.

She started in the corporate world before entering entrepreneurship as a virtual assistant. That work pulled her deeper into the inner workings of small business operations, bookkeeping and what is really happening behind the scenes.

And the deeper she got, the more she saw the same pattern. Company after company she noticed that most businesses don’t set up the whole pie. They focus on what they sell and their strengths but ignore the rest - causing incomplete back offices that can’t sustain growth, no financial understanding of where their business is, or the risk and vulnerabilities they leave open because they never understood why a contract or the right insurance matters.

That Became Her Work.

Today, Mendy's work sits at the intersection of education and entrepreneurship.

She teaches students, speaks to organizations, creates resources for entrepreneurs, and she translates the business behind business into information people can actually understand and use.

She understands that even with all the right pieces, it takes hustle, grit and time to build a business people recognize everyday, so she does her part to make it as easy as possible!
